How to Move Your Fleet Off Autocab

How do you move a private hire fleet off Autocab?

Start with the contract: check notice period and data export rights. Then measure how many jobs arrive through the network and plan direct replacements. Export bookings, customers, accounts and driver records, rebuild fares, onboard drivers onto the new app, run parallel for a week, then cut the booking channels over.

Step 1: read the contract before anything else

    • Notice period and renewal date — many UK contracts auto-renew annually
    • Data export rights and format
    • Hardware ownership: in-car devices, printers and card terminals
    • Any minimum vehicle commitment or early termination charge

Step 2: measure your network dependency

Pull ninety days of completed jobs and split by source. Network jobs are the ones that disappear on the day you leave. If they are under 10% of revenue, proceed. Between 10% and 30%, spend a month signing direct affiliate agreements and chasing account work first. Over 30%, treat the move as a commercial project, not an IT project.

    Step 3: data and fares

    • Export bookings, customers, account clients, tariffs and driver records
    • Photograph or export tariff tables including airport fixed prices and waiting rules
    • Price twenty historical jobs in the new platform and compare against invoiced totals
    • Check licensing document expiry data transferred correctly for your council's audits

    Step 4: drivers and hardware

If drivers use leased in-car hardware, confirm what must be returned and when. Most fleets moving to Ridxo run the driver app on drivers' own phones, which removes the hardware line entirely — but check your council's rules on device use and any card terminal requirements before assuming.

Step 5: cut over out of season

Avoid December, avoid the week of any large local event, and avoid the start of the school run contract term. Run both systems for five working days, reconcile job counts nightly, then switch your booking site, app links and phone-line integration.
